Glorious Eastbourne

Eastbourne enjoys a glorious location, sheltered by the rolling South Downs. Long flowered promenades, beaches, pier and band stand, make this a delightful seaside resort. Due to its position at the foot of the Downs the resort enjoys above average sunshine hours. The Sussex Heritage Coast is the finest example of unprotected chalk cliffs in Britain, and includes the famous Beachy Head and Seven Sisters cliffs.

Langham Hotel 3*

Wonderfully situated on Eastbourne's seafront, The Langham is an AA rated three star hotel with 80 bedrooms, many of which have views of Eastbourne's beautiful coastline. A warm welcome awaits you at The Langham, with friendly and attentive staff. All the attractively furnished bedrooms are en suite, with colour TV, and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a lift to all floors, and an entry ramp ensures easy access to the hotel for disabled guests.

Included excursions:

1. FULL DAY TO BRIGHTON & WORTHING
We travel first to Brighton, one of the most vibrant, colourful and creative cities in Europe. Our second visit takes us to the popular, but quieter, seaside town of Worthing, immortalised by Oscar Wilde in 'The Importance of Being Earnest'. It has all the facilities of a large town, and a largely pedestrian shopping centre, all on level ground.
2. FULL DAY TO TENTERDEN, KENT & SUSSEX RAILWAY, & BATEMAN'S
We travel first across the Weald of Kent to Tenterden, a lively little town with an olde worlde charm, and acknowledged as 'The Jewel of the Weald'. After a time to browse and perhaps a bite to eat, we take a ride on the famous Kent & Sussex Railway from Tenterden to Bodiam, where we rejoin our coach for a visit to nearby Bateman's: This beautiful 17th century manor house was the home of Rudyard Kipling from 1902-36, and most of the rooms, including his book-lined study, are much as Kipling left them. The delightful gardens run down to the small river Dudwell.
3. FULL DAY TO BEXHILL-ON-SEA & HASTINGS
Our first port of call is the cosy town of Bexhill-on-Sea, with its wide level promenade and gently sloping beach. The compact shopping centres, and pretty 'continental-style' pavement cafes facing the sea, make this a delightful place to visit. We then continue to the cosmopolitan town of Hastings, lying between the rugged beauty of the East and West Hills, and home to Europe's largest beach-launched fishing fleet.
