Ilfracombe enjoys a setting of rare beauty set as it is amongst the breathtaking scenery of North Devon and nestling around a harbour as old and beautiful as any in Britain. There are splendid walks along the Coastal Path, the famous Torrs walks, or delightful gardens for those who like to take things a bit easier.

The Osborne Hotel 2**
All en suite rooms are pleasantly furnished, with Colour TV and tea/coffee making facilities. All the main areas of the hotel are wheelchair accessible with most bedrooms being a short distance away from the guest lift, making those with walking difficulties able to move around the hotel with ease. There is a large ballroom with fully sprung dance floor, and entertainment is varied every night.
The dining room is situated on the ground floor.

1. Full day to Dunster and Minehead We journey along the north coast of Devon to picturesque Dunster, a fascinating village with a Norman Castle steeped in history. We return via Minehead, a well known holiday resort with a wealth of attractions.
2. Full day to Barnstaple and Bideford We travel first to Barnstaple, an ancient town lying on the River Taw, with an excellent shopping centre, as well as many interesting buildings, including the parish church, St. Anne's Chapel Museum, and the Three Tuns Tavern. We continue to the ancient port of Bideford, with its 17th century quay.
3. Half day to Lynton and Lynmouth. Spectacularly situated on the northern edge of the National Park, these fascinating villages make a pleasant short outing from Ilfracombe. A trip on the water operated cliff railway is not to be missed.
4. Half day to Woolacombe Bay
This morning we pay a visit to nearby Woolacombe, with its three miles of golden sands. This lively seaside resort sits between the dramatic headlands of Baggy Point and Morte Point, in a steep valley.
