INCLUDED EXCURSIONS

1. CAERNARFON AND PORT MEIRION A magnificent journey today takes us along the shores of Conwy Bay to Caernarfon, with its impressive castle beside the harbour. We then turn inland and travel via Beddgelert to the captivating village of Port Meirion, where few visitors are prepared for the elegant and compact dreamscape they encounter. Renowned for its fine pottery, the Italian style village was also used as the setting for the 1960's cult TV series "The Prisoner". We see more of Snowdonia as our return journey takes us via the famous Llanberis Pass and Llanberis, at the foot of Mount Snowdon.

2. BETWS-Y-COED AND THE ISLE OF ANGLESEY Our journey today takes us along the Vale of Conwy to visit Betws-y-Coed, a beautiful village surrounded by cascading waterfalls, hill-top lakes, river pools and ancient bridges. We continue via Capel Curig and Bethesda and cross the Menai Straits to the Isle of Anglesey. Here we visit the splendid coastal resort of Beaumaris, with its 13th century Castle, Victorian gaol, and Museum of Childhood. We return via Llanfair PG, where the crafts and woollen centre is worth a short visit.
3. HORSESHOE PASS, LLANGOLLEN, & BALA LAKE RAILWAY
Another full day jaunt travelling via St. Asaph and Ruthin, and waiting in anticipation to view some of the most spectacular scenery in Wales as we descend the famous Horseshoe Pass to Llangollen, set on the
banks of the beautiful River Dee. Our final visit of today takes us back into the Snowdonia National Park to Bala, where we board the Bala Lake Railway for a very scenic lakeside train ride.
4. CONWY (HALF DAY)
We travel to the nearby historic town of Conwy, with its mighty Castle and medieval town walls. There are many interesting shops here and lots of activity to watch on the quayside.
