INCLUDED EXCURSIONS
1. MOUSEHOLE, NEWLYN, PENZANCE & MARAZION
This morning we enjoy a picturesque drive to the ancient village of Mousehole, a quaint Cornish fishing village made up of tight tangled lanes and a tiny harbour. We then proceed to the neighbouring village of Newlyn, home to one of the largest fishing fleets in the UK, and a very important contributor to the Cornish economy. On then to the busy port and market town of Penzance in time for lunch, sightseeing or shopping, after which we pay a visit to Marazion for spectacular views of St. Michael's Mount, before returning to our hotel.
2. FALMOUTH
Today we travel via Redruth to Falmouth, Britain's most southerly resort and the third largest deep-water natural harbour in the world. The clear water, sheltered creeks, and mild temperatures of the Fal estuary provide fine natural oyster beds, sustaining the last remaining oyster fisheries still dredging under sail and oar in Europe. In the narrow streets and small alleyways of the bustling town centre you will find a wide selection of shops, art galleries, and ancient inns.
3. THE LIZARD PENINSULA & TREBAH GARDENS
Today we travel via Helston to the Lizard Peninsula, scattered with idyllic hamlets at the British mainland's most southerly point. Stunningly beautiful at any time of the year, it has been a continuing source of inspiration for artists and writers. We then visit Trebah, one of the great gardens of Cornwall: It is a sub-tropical paradise set in a magical valley with a stunning coastal backdrop.
