Included excursions:
1. THE MAGIC OF THE NORFOLK BROADS
Today we explore the outstanding beauty of the Norfolk Broads. Our first visit is to the lively town of Wroxham, known as 'The Capital of the Norfolk Broads'. Here you will find an abundance of shops, cafes, and restaurants. Our next port of call is at the delightful village of Horning, with its charming little church, waterside pubs, restaurants, shops, and tea rooms. From here we will take an inclusive cruise along the waters of the broads onboard the 'Mississippi Paddleboat'. This luxury double deck river cruiser takes you along the River Bure through the village and out to Ranyard Broad and back, passing lovely old thatched houses, windmills, and Norfolk reed beds. There is a lively and interesting commentary throughout your cruise. Our final visit takes us via Potter Heigham, one of the major boating centres on the Norfolk Broads, to the entrance of the Broads National Park (in Suffolk) at Oulton Broad. This is a 'must visit' place, but in addition to the usual gift shops etc. it has breathtaking wildlife reserves, and a spectacular stretch of inland water.
2. BRESSINGHAM GARDENS & STEAM RAILWAY
Our journey today takes us to the very popular Bressingham Gardens. Entrance to the Museum and a ride on the Steam Railway is also included. Bressingham is also the official home to the Dad's Army Appreciation Society, and the exhibition comprises a recreation of Walmington on Sea, the fictional home to Captain Mainwaring and his men.
