QUEEN OF THE RIVIERA" Torquay's waterfront is the focus of life in the town. Here you'll find the palm-lined promenade, seafront gardens, a lively harbour and an international marina. Yet within minutes of the town centre there are beautiful beaches easily accessible by foot, road or water. There is an abundance of pavement cafes, pubs, restaurants and nightlife, good quality shops and a host of attractions to suit everyone.
THE ASHLEY COURT HOTEL
The Ashley Court is a licensed, friendly, family run hotel, where the emphasis is on quality and personal attention. It is situated within easy walking distance of the town centre and all other attractions.
All of the comfortable and well appointed bedrooms are en-suite, with tea / coffee making facilities, colour T.V, and hairdryer. There are lifts to the first and second floors, and ground floor bedrooms are available. Outdoor heated pool. The entertainment programme is arguably the best in the whole of Torquay.
Our usual comfort stops and visits will be made in each direction, and excursions will include full days to PLYMOUTH, plus EXETER & EXMOUTH, and two half days -one to delightful BRIXHAM HARBOUR which has two main industries - fishing and tourism. Yes Brixham is picturesque, the cottages are quaint and old -world, but what makes it special are the sounds, scents, and tastes of the fishing industry. Our other half-day takes us to the ancient town and deepwater port of DARTMOUTH, set in a picture book location, on the picturesque River Dart, with steep wooded hillsides on either side. A full day is allowed for you to explore the many delights of Torquay itself.
